I finally broke down and bought the Canon EOS 6D to add to my arsenal of goodness. I have been using mediocre (at best) cameras, struggling to get the right shot. I managed to squeak by a 70-300 lens that offers great DoF, but isn't the good medium I really need. It still captures incredible shots, but it is clear I need to get my hands on a few more lenses.
I am so excited over the changes coming soon. I am moving from publishing novels to video production and photography. There is a market for what I do, a rather big one, and it all seems to be coming together without much effort. I have a lot of work to do, but it is exciting to try new things and learn from the masters. I never thought in a million years that I would produce movies, or do motion graphics and sound design, but I am. I have a lot to learn and plan on sharing that knowledge with you over the course of the coming years.

Get Down To Business
Quite a bit has happened in the last six months. I lost my eye sight in one eye, lost my mother-in-law from complications of knee surgery, and lost quite a bit of weight (though not enough for my taste). I learned I'm a diabetic and I had to quit freelancing to go back to work full time. Whew. I'm just tired thinking about it all.
Why do I tell you all about this? Because life happens in the pursuit of our dreams.
In our quest to master our gifts, things happen all around us. We get distracted, lose our focus, and if we're not careful we will give up on our dreams. It's so easy to just let go, to lose our way. We mustn't. Like all things wo
Favs and Follows
I want you all to know that I am aware when each of you "Favs" and "Follows" my work, and really appreciate each and every one of you. I don't have the time to respond to everyone, but that doesn't mean it goes unnoticed.
Thank you all for your encouragement and for inspiring me with your works. Keep up the good work, my fellow deviants.

Compositing and Photomanipulation
Whether you call it compositing or photomanipulation, digital art has come a long way. With tools like Adobe Photoshop and digital photography, creatives can now design worlds straight from their imaginations. There are many resources to help those who are starting out, but few that dive further into these tools to help mavericks like me.
Recently I discovered a website dedicated to Photoshop learning. It's called Phlearn.com. I'm not a spokesman for the site, so don't worry. I won't try to sell you anything. In fact, you can learn quite a bit for free from their weekly tips and tricks tutorials. Knowing when and how to use "dodge and burnin
